Privacy Policy

Bilen ("Bilen," "we," "us") operates the Bilen mobile app and website at getbilen.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Bilen, we may collect:

  • Account information: email address, display name, and profile photo when you create an account or sign in.
  • Photos and videos you upload: images or clips you choose to edit or generate with AI styles.
  • Purchase information: credit pack purchases are processed by Apple or Google through our subscription partner RevenueCat. See In-app purchases and RevenueCat below for details.
  • Usage and device data: app interactions, crash reports, and basic device or OS information to keep the service reliable.
  • Support communications: messages you send to our support team.

In-app purchases and RevenueCat

Bilen uses RevenueCat, Inc. to manage in-app credit pack purchases on iOS and Android. For purchase-related data, Bilen is the data controller and RevenueCat acts as our data processor, handling information on our behalf under our agreement with them.

What RevenueCat receives

When you buy credits, Apple or Google processes payment. RevenueCat helps validate those purchases and link them to your Bilen account. Depending on your device and purchase, RevenueCat may receive:

  • Your Bilen user ID: so purchases are credited to the correct account.
  • Device information: such as device type and operating system.
  • Transaction information: such as Apple receipt data or Google purchase tokens, product identifiers, and when you last used the app for purchase validation.

RevenueCat does not receive your full payment card or bank details from Bilen. Payment methods are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies.

How we use purchase data

  • Deliver credit packs you buy and keep your wallet balance accurate.
  • Prevent fraud, handle refunds, and resolve billing support issues.
  • Maintain purchase records required for accounting and legal compliance.

Where purchase data is stored

RevenueCat stores customer and end-user data on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Bilen also stores purchase records linked to your account in our database (hosted by Supabase). If you are outside the United States, your purchase-related data may be processed in the U.S.

Your choices regarding purchase data

To access, correct, or delete purchase-related personal data, contact us at support@bilen.app. We will handle your request and, where needed, instruct RevenueCat on our behalf. RevenueCat's own privacy policy applies to how they process data as our vendor: revenuecat.com/privacy.

Sign in with Google

Bilen offers optional "Continue with Google" sign-in. When you choose Google sign-in, Bilen accesses limited Google user data through Google OAuth solely to authenticate you and maintain your Bilen account.

Google user data we access

  • Email address: to create and identify your Bilen account and communicate about your account when needed.
  • Name: your Google display name, shown in your Bilen profile if you do not set a different name.
  • Profile picture URL: used as your Bilen profile photo unless you upload or remove a different photo.
  • Basic profile identifier: a Google account identifier used by our authentication provider to link your Google account to your Bilen account.

Bilen does not request access to your Google contacts, Google Drive files, Gmail messages, Google Calendar, location history, or other Google services beyond what is needed for sign-in.

How we use Google user data

  • Authenticate you and keep you signed in securely.
  • Create and manage your Bilen user profile.
  • Associate your credits, generations, referrals, and purchase history with the correct account.
  • Respond to account-related support requests you initiate.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, selling user lists, credit scoring, or training AI/ML models.

How we share Google user data

We do not sell Google user data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate Bilen, and only as needed to provide the service:

  • Supabase: authentication, account storage, and database hosting. Google sign-in tokens and profile fields are processed through Supabase Auth on our behalf.
  • RevenueCat: links in-app purchases to your Bilen user ID as described in In-app purchases and RevenueCat. RevenueCat does not receive your Google email or profile photo from us for sign-in purposes.
  • Analytics and error monitoring: may receive pseudonymous identifiers or crash data tied to your app session, not your Google profile contents.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users and Bilen, or in connection with a merger or acquisition, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Storage and protection of Google user data

  • Google profile information (email, name, profile photo URL) is stored in our account database hosted by Supabase with industry-standard access controls.
  • Sign-in uses OAuth; we do not store your Google password.
  • Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Access to production user data is limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate and support the service.

Retention and deletion of Google user data

  • We retain Google-derived account information while your Bilen account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.
  • You may deactivate your account in the Bilen app. Deactivated accounts are scheduled for permanent deletion after a 14-day grace period unless you sign back in and undo deactivation.
  • You may request account deletion or a copy of your data at any time by emailing support@bilen.app. We will verify your request and process it within a reasonable timeframe.
  • If you disconnect Google sign-in or delete your Bilen account, we delete or anonymize associated Google user data from our active systems, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business needs such as fraud prevention records.

Sign in with Apple

If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the information Apple shares with us (such as your name and email, including Apple's private relay email if you choose that option) for the same account and authentication purposes described above.

AI processing

Photos and videos you upload for generation are sent to third-party AI providers to produce your results. Those providers process your media according to their policies. We do not send your Google profile data to AI providers for image or video generation.

Character references

If you use Bilen's character feature, we store the photos you capture (front, side angles), an optional character sheet image generated from those photos, and a name you choose. This data is linked to your account so you can reuse the same character across styles. You can edit or delete a character at any time in the app. When you delete a character, we remove associated stored images from our systems, subject to short backup retention described below.

Data retention

  • Account data: kept while your account is active and as needed for legal, billing, and support obligations.
  • Generations and uploads: stored so you can view history and re-download results. Temporary signed links may expire; underlying files may be removed after a retention period shown in the app or required for storage limits.
  • Support tickets: retained to resolve your request and improve service quality.
  • Deactivated accounts: scheduled for permanent deletion after a 14-day grace period unless you reactivate.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact support@bilen.app to exercise these rights. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Website cookies and analytics

The Bilen website may use essential cookies for security and basic functionality. We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand site traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings. The mobile app does not use browser cookies in the same way as the website.

Creator earn program and inspiration gallery

Bilen offers a creator earn program. You may receive wallet credits when you invite friends, mention Bilen on social media, or create user-generated content (UGC) that meets our program rules. Reward amounts are shown in the app and may change over time.

  • Mentions and UGC submissions: after you publish on Instagram or TikTok, you paste your public post link in the app. Bilen verifies mentions and public view counts from that link before issuing credits. We do not access private analytics dashboards on your social accounts.
  • Inspiration gallery: when you accept this policy, you agree that Bilen may display your completed generations (before and after) in the in-app inspiration gallery to help other users discover styles. We use your source photo and result image for this purpose. You can contact support to request removal of a specific item.
  • Trending styles: Bilen may also show catalog styles with before/after examples in the same gallery.

Children

Bilen is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above.
